The New Jewish Filmmaking Project chronicles the experience of young American Jews.
Groups of teen and young adult storytellers, in collaboration with an accomplished team of pro filmmakers, turn the camera on their families, friends & hangouts to consider the relevance of Jewish identity in their lives.

Hey Bay Area teenagers!
Want to make a film thousands of people will see? The New Jewish Filmmaking Project gives you the means to tell your own story!
An inspiring collaboration…co-directed by the teens themselves -SF Bay Guardian
In close collaboration with an internationally acclaimed team of filmmakers, a group of talented young storytellers will turn the camera on themselves, their schools, homes and hangouts. Their entertaining, high quality films provide a rare, authentic point of view of what it’s like to come of age at the current complex juncture in American-Jewish history and culture.
The NJFP is a program of the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival.
Following premieres at the world-famous Castro Theater, NJFP films are regularly presented by exhibitors, from PBS affiliates to prestigious art museums and international film festivals.
